Nchi Yetu wishes to inform 2014 kcse candidates that the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service has extended the online application system for the school application from January 15,2015 to January 31, 2015 0000hrs.

All candidates whose school application for degree and diploma courses for 2015/2016 Placement to Universities and Colleges had not been submitted should contact their respective schools before the lapse of the deadline. [31/01/2015 0000 hrs]

The extension is due to disruption of the reopening of schools in the 2015 Calendar year and a number of schools are yet to submit their University and Colleges Applications for the 2014 K.C.S.E candidates.

The application procedure is available in the Placement Service Website at kuccps.ac.ke or kuccps.net.

Celebrating the Life Of Fidel Catro Odhiambo Odinga.

Fidel Odinga was born in 1973.He was named after Cuban leader and revolutionary Fidel Castro.

Fidel was the eldest son in a family of four children Rosemary, Raila Junior and Winnie.

He attended Consolata Primary in Westlands before proceeding to Mbeji Academy in Siaya County for his High School education from 1989 to 1992. 

He then proceeded to India for his post-secondary education, where he stayed for one year before transferring to Washington DC in the US. He completed his studies and continued living and working there. 

He was first married to Veronica Wanjiru Nganga in 2007 in an elaborate wedding which was full of pomp and colour. They later divorced in 2011.

He later married Eritrean Lwam Getachew in May 28 2012 at the Othodox church, Nairobi. Fidel was baptised in his church in 2012.

Fidel’s only son and child was born on Wedsday , July 31 ,2013.
He is known to be high tempered and he can easily shoot when provoked.

Fidel’s best friend , Don Bosco Gichana, bought his father (Former premier) a Hummer to aid him during his presidential campaign in 2007.
 
Fidel Odinga was a licensed firearm certificate holder. He owned a bulletproof jacket . Detectives investigating the mystery of his death found three rifles, a pistol, and about 2,000 bullets at the Bel Air Country Home.


On Saturday 3th Jan, Fidel left Karen for Westlands, where he joined his friends Rober Gichuru , Barnabas Tarema, Mabior Garang , Lucy  , Tom Alila and his cousin Bill. They went to the Sankara Hotel.

He was driven home by a Smart Fellows taxi driver in his Range Rover Autobiography, Registration Number KCA 026V, from Sankara Hotel, Westlands, at about 4am.
 
FIDEL Odinga, died in his father’s arms on  January 4, 2015 in his Karen home at Bel Air Country Homes, off Miotoni Road, Karen, only hours after coming back from a night out in Westlands.
 
Fidel was soft-spoken, kind hearted and outgoing, never seeing faults in his friends or family members.

He was a billionaire. Fidel Owned a popular five-star hotel  , located along Harambee Avenue ,in Kisumu city.He was the owner of a 350 unit estate in Kisumu which is located at Migosi Area. The estate is approx.. worthy Kshs 2 billion.
Raila Odinga's family has set Saturday January 10 as the burial date for their son. He will be buried in Bondo at his parent’s rural home. Fidel’s body will be removed Thursday for a requiem mass at Coptic Church in Nairobi on Thursday afternoon.
However, Fidel’s life had its own share of controversy.

 In 2007, he married Veronica Wanjiru Ng’ang’a. Their marriage however collapsed later after the two divorced.

In 2001, while studying in the United States, Fidel Castro Odinga was fined US$305 (Kshs24,000) by the District Court of Montgomery County for possessing an illegal drug and found guilty of possessing what is referred to as, “paraphernalia.” Fidel’s case number was 1D00109194 and his probation officer was Malcolm Mac Dermid.


Fidel was found guilty of theft by the District Court of Montgomery County. He was accused of stealing $300 (Kshs23,000) in criminal court case number 4D00083780. Fidel’s probation officer is listed as Ms Deborah Williams. The complainant police officer was S.D. Murphy and whose police identity number was 1579.

Fidel was named by a Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture as among the people who profited from a maize Scandal which hit the county in early 2009. 
  
He was a man of expensive taste and party goer. It is said that Fidel used Gold Spoons when he went out partying.
