Council of Kenya . The body has approved training of nurses at 3 levels:
Certificate, Diploma and Degree. Training at
diploma level is categorized into basic and post basic types. Post basic
training is specialized and is undertaken only if the student has previously
acquired a basic diploma.
The minimum Entry Criteria to pursue a Diploma [Pre-Service] is an aggregate grade of a C plain and the applicant MUST have a min grade of : C plain in Biology or biological sciences, C plain in English or Kiswahili AND a C- MINUS in any of the following subjects: Physical Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, General Science, Physics.

The minimum entry criteria to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a KCSE aggregate of grade: C+ with: C+ in English or Kiswahili, C+ in Mathematics or Physics, C+ in Chemistry and C in Biology.
